Cardovillis lifts the lid on Wokorach links

Kenya Harlequins boss Charles Cardovillis has confirmed that his side is not interested in signing Kabras RFC fullback Philip Wokorach in this transfer window.
The Ugandan star was linked with a move away from Kabras especially after Puis Ogena, Ivan Kirabo, Kelvin Omiyo, Aluda Beda and Dominic Osino quit the club.
Wokorach earlier rubbished reports linking him with a move to Quins and it is now clear that he will stay with the Kakamega Based.
Speaking after winning the Impala Floodlit Plate finals, Cardovillis said the fullback position is not an area of concern since Solomon Okia, William Reeves and  Brian Beckham are available.
He added that new acquisition Dominic Osino can also fill in the position.
“I am very comfortable with that position in the back three. Once we got  William Reeves and Solomon Okia who also a Ugandan am well covered.  Beckham can play there and Dominic Osino also played at fullback at some point against Mwamba. So I would like to kill the rumours, Wokorach won’t be coming, ” he told Scrummage.
His stay means Kabras will have an interesting backline following the arrival of winger Enzo Fouttie and utility back Logan Basson. They join the likes of Kevin Keegan, Brian Tanga,  Johnstone Mung’au, Felix Ayange, Habil Malika Nich Baraza, and  Jone Kubu.
