Commenting on the performance, Kiambu’s Director of Rugby Mr. NJuguna Githanga said the final score in their pre-season friendly matches don’t count much and he extolled his side for fluidity, tactical understanding and handling the game in the first half as planned.
“As I told you last week after the Bulldogs win, the final scoreline in this preseason friendlies for us doesn’t count for much. Today for us was a huge challenge playing a team a league above us in the KRU Championship, the have big forwards with fleet-footed & tactical backs. And we tackled the game as we planned for the 1st half. We are happy that against an organized team, many facets of our gameplan did work and we can now see some fluidity, and the tactical understanding” he told clubs media.
Kiambu are getting ready for the central region Nationwide league while Warrior are preparing for the Championship.
