Heathens managed a third-place finish in the Uganda Cup thanks to a 36-8 win over Buffaloes in a match staged at Legends Club on Friday.
The Heathens who have won the Uganda Cup 11 times, scored through Alex Mubiru, Charles Uhuru, Michael Wokorach while Cox Muhigwa bagged a brace. Kevin Kermundu scored two conversions.
Buffaloes try was scored by Wasswa Jeremiah as Aziz Karim scored their penalty. The finals of the competition will kick off at 2 PM with Makerere Impis Rugby -the oldest university in Uganda set to tackle Jinja Hippos in the shield final.
Since Jinja Hippos formation in 2013, they have faced Impis four times in the longer version of the game, losing and drawing once while they have picked two from the encounter.

The Main Cup finals will kick off at 4 PM at the same venue with holders Black Pirates set to tackle Kobs. Kobs will be hoping to reclaim the title they last won in 2012.
