Beda's emotional message to Kabras fans as he starts Quins life

The ongoing transfer window has seen Kabras RFC longest serving winger Aluda Beda cross over to Ngong Road based side Kenya Harlequins.
Scrummage understands that Beda who is the club’s alltime leading scorer was not among the list of 30 players who have been contracted for the 2018/19.

With his name missing on the list, Beda became a free agent and his immediate former boss Charles Cardovillis gave him a lifeline by bring him to Kenya Harlequins.
“Quins approached me and we reached an agreement and that is why I decided to join them.” Beda told Scrummage.
His move to Quins not only reunites him with Cardovillis but also with half Dominic Osino who also quit Kabras. Beda is happy that he has another opportunity to work with Cardo, a coach he describes as a kind man who is works hard always to make his players better.
“Cardo is a good coach,a man of principles. He’s a kind of a coach that can develop and sharpen a player in so many areas. He’s a man who wants the best for his players,” Beda said.
As he start the life of being a Quin, Beda a Kenya Cup and National 7s Circuit winner with Kabras,  has set his sights on helping the team achieve its goals.
“I won’t promise heaven on earth, but being a hard worker I’ve always been,I promise to give in my best and help them achieve the set targets,”  he added.

The former Chavakali High back admits he will miss the Kabras fans and he is grateful for their support he has recieved in past few years.
“I really thank them for their support over the years and I will surely miss them. But again, all the good things sometimes do come to an end,and when the time comes, you thank God for the wonderful experience and forge on” he comcluded.
Beda will be hoping to make his debut as Kenya Harlequins tackles Mwamba in the opening game of the 2018/19 season.
