KCB cruise past Homeboyz to book Impala in Floodies finals

For the fifth time in a row, KCB will tackle Impala Saracens in the Floodlit finals, this is after a 34-10 win over Homeboyz in the semis staged at the Impala Club on Saturday.
The Homeboyz-KCB clash was a repeat of last years finals that saw the Bankers pick a narrow 18-16 win to reach the semifinals. A 34-10 win in this clash means that KCB will be playing in the Floodies for the sixth time in a row.
Homeboyz managed to stop KCB’s attempts to get a try in the opening half. KCB who were dominant in the opening minutes of the clash got on the scoresheet through two penalty kicks from Darwin Mukidza while Ervin Asena missed his attempt.

On return from the break, Marlin Mukolwe set up Martin Owila and the forward went over for the first try of the game. The try was converted by Ahmed Shaban for a 13-0 lead.
Homeboyz were able to respond immediately with a try from eighth-man Steve Otieno but Asena send his conversion wide.  Shaban stretched the lead for KCB after a converted try that saw them hit 20 points.
Stafford Abeka got a converted try that put Curtis Olago charges to 27-5 before Otieno bagged his brace for Homeboyz leaving the scores at 27-10.  The Bankers would add a converted try through Kilonzo in the dying minutes and proceeded to the finals once again.
