Why Kenya Simbas build up matches have been called off

The Kenya Rugby Union on Tuesday announced that friendlies match against Namibia, Loftus 200 and BATUK  have all been canceled.
The matches were part of the team’s preparation for the crucial Repechage tournament set for November in Marseille, France. According to KRU, Namibia have cited internal issues for their pull out while BATUK and Loftus 200 have financial constraints.
“Namibia are unable to travel to Kenya for the fixture due to some of the internal administrative challenges they are facing while BATUK and The Loftus 200 pulled out of the set matches due to financial constraints,” reads a statement by KRU.
The Union says it is planning to play a top-tier team locally before departing for Romania.  The match against Romania set for  November 3 will go on as planned while the side is set to have other build matches in France before the Repechage kicks off.
Kenya Simbas will have a non-residential camp this coming weekend and the final traveling squad will be named thereafter.
