Homeboyz to focus more on skills ahead KCB date

Homeboyz skipper Emmanuel Mavala says the team will focus more on skills as they prepare to face champions KCB in the semi-finals of the impala floodlight tournament this weekend.
The Deejays booked a date with KCB after a 37-30 win over Nakuru in the quarterfinals. Mavala is glad they won their first game despite struggling with match fitness.
‘It’s was our first game. We came to try out the things we been training on after what has been a long offseason but its good we won the first match. Match fitness was not on our side and they caught us on the breakdown so we had to change the game and took charge, Mavala told Scrummage.
“We will focus more on skills since we will be facing a tougher side so we will need to be ready.” Mavala added.
Participating teams will be looking to use the tournament to fine-tune their engines in readiness for the 2018/2019 Kenya Cup season.
