Ex-Western Province utility back among three confirmed at Kabras

2015 Kenya Cup champions Kabras Sugar have bolstered their squad by acquiring the services of three South Africans ahead of the 2018/19 season.
The three are winger Enzo Fouttie , utility back Logan Basson  and backrower Claude Johannes all who join from South African club Boland Cavaliers, a side that participates in the Western Cape Division one league.
29-year old utility back Basson has previously featured for Western Province,Free State Cheetahs,Border Bulldogs and Griquas.He is the younger brother of South African international Bjorn Basson.
“Kabras has good players but I felt it necessary to beef up the defence and attacking departments with experienced players who can take on the teams in the Kenya Cup that are known to be great at the 15s format,”newly appointed Kabras coach Henly Du Plessis told Nation Sport.
The Kakamega-based club has parted ways with at least three players in the ongoing transfer window.Hooker Joseph Amalemba left for Homeboyz while halfback Dominic Osino joined Kenya Harlequins. Ugandan halfback Ivan Kirabo decamped to Betway Kobs.
Kabras’ first Kenya Cup assignment will be against Mean Machine on November 17 at the Kakamega Showground.
