Moi Arsonists crowned Koitalel 7s champs

Moi Arsonists have been crowned Koitalel 7s Champions after 10-5 win over Eldoret RFC in the finals staged at Nandi Bears on Sunday 14 October.
Nicholas Mwenda landed the first for Arsonists but the side could not add the extras. Abubakar Suleiman pulled one back for Eldoret RFC for a 5-5 tie at halftime.
In the second half Eugene Omondi crossed the whitewash for Moi’s second but Tony Khadambi missed the conversion. The Arsonists managed to hold on the slim lead and won the match.
To reach the finals, the Arsonist beat Eldoret Polytechnic 19-17 while their quarterfinal match saw them edge Kitale 12-7.
In the quarters Derrick Kinyari landed the first try in the corner flag for Moi before converting Eugene Omondi’s try.  Kitale responded with a penalty try but they failed to add another try in the match.
