Kenya 7s beat Zambia to reach Africa 7s semis

Kenya 7s are through to the semifinals of the ongoing Africa 7s, thanks to a 33-7 win over Zambia in the first quarterfinal clash staged in Tunisia.
After close to four minutes of the hunt, Kenya managed to break Zambia’s defence following a chip from Leonard Mugaisi and Cyprian Kuto’s chase saw him pounce on the ball and went over for the opening try.
Kuto fed Taabu who scored the second try try for Kenya. The Mwamba halfback converted his own try for a 12-0 lead at the break. In the second half, Kenya 7s scored through Leonard Mugaisi and Taabu’s conversion saw Kenya lead 19-0.
Michael Wanjala was yellow carded after a tackle on Makosa and Martin Chitsanga got a converted for Zambia and became the first player to score against Kenya in the Africa Cup 7s.
Leonard Mugaisi set Eliakim Kichoi to stretch Kenya’s lead to 26-7 before Taabu scored his second of the game converted for a 33-7 win. Kenya will be back in action at 258 PM.
