KCB through to Floodies semis

Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) are through to the Impala Floodlit semi finals after beating Mwamba 25-10 at the Impala Club on 13 October.
The win means that Curtis Olago’s charges are on course to retaining the title they won in 2017.
Mwamba, who were making a return to the Floodlit tournament after missing out in 2017 drew first blood early in the first half as fullback Brian Kivasia scored a penalty to give his side a lead before Steve Osumba restored parity for the bankers as the sides headed to the breather level 3-3.
After the restart,Brian Nyikuli barged over for KCB at the left corner but the resultant conversion kick sailed wide.
KCB were then temporarily reduced to 14 men after Manasseh Oduor was sent to the sinbin for an infringement.
KCB lock Francis Mwita then fended off Joe Otieno before going over the whitewash for an unconverted try that sent KCB 13-3 up.
Mwamba cut the deficit to three points after scoring  a converted try courtesy of Collins Injera  before KCB responded with  a converted try.
Felix Ojow put the icing on the cake for the defending champions with a five pointer.
