IMPALA FLOODLIT

Impala comments on Oliech inclusion in Floodies squad

Impala Saracens boss Frank Ndong called Sammy Oliech in the starting line up ahead of the Floodlit Tournament Quarterfinal and he says the Kenya 7s star is the best player to fill the flyhalf slot.
Impala and their neighbours Kenya Harlequins will clash in a highly anticipated Ngong Road Derby which will kick at 7:30 PM.
Composed
Ndong believes to win the clash they will need to be composed and control the game. The tactician feels that Oliech will be a key player in the number 10 role.
“We need a lot of composure, control, deception, and a brilliantly polished boot this Saturday. No one else is better placed at this time, to play in the fly-half position, but Sammy Oliech.” Ndong told Impala official portal.
Ndong is happy with the sessions that they have hard in the 14 past 14 weeks.
“I believe we have prepared adequately. The training numbers have been improving over the past 14 weeks. Our intensity in training has also seen a drastic improvement. Matasi and Wekesa have been showing great form. They worked for those jerseys,” he added.
The 2018 edition of Impala Floodlit tournament will be played in October across three weekends as the teams prepare for the upcoming Kenya Cup season.
The event kicks off on Saturday, October 13 with the quarterfinals, while the semifinals set for October 20 and grand finals will be on October 27.
Top Kenya Cup sides, Universities, Schools, Women’s and Age Grade are expected to grace Floodies, the biggest pre-season tournament.
