Oilers boss bedazzled with Ex-Bulls skipper

Menengai Oilers head coach Gibson Weru is dazzled with newly signed Utility Chrispin Shitundo.
The former Western Bulls star has been with the Nakuru based outfit for close to three months. He managed to play for the side in the later stages of the 7s Circuit and his exploits on and off the pitch have impressed their tactician.
Weru says Shitundo’s leadership skills are already evident and he hopes the player will be a force to reckon in the 15s season.
“He has been a revelation since his arrival. He just played in two tournaments in the 7s Circuit but his leadership skills have come out already and it’s not only on the pitch but off the pitch as well, ” he told Scrummage in an earlier interview.
“He is a fantastic player and will be a key player heading to the new season. He is a good signing for us,” he added.
Shitundo can play as a lock can and in midfield as well. He impressed during his days at Western Bulls and was in 2017 nominated for the best player award in Magharibi Michezo Awards ceremony.
The award, however, went to Kabras and Kenyan International George Nyambua.
