MMUST skipper reveals memorable moment in 7s Circuit

MMUST skipper Samuel Mbeche has picked Sepetuka 7s  as his best moment in the 2018 National 7s Circuit.
The KRU Championship newbies landed an invitation to play in the top tier in the tournament hosted by Homeboyz at Eldoret Sports Club and they impressed to reach the Main Cup quarterfinal.
They were, however, bundled out by Mwamba and finished sixth after a loss to Kabras in the fifth-place finals.
When asked about his best moment in the 7s Circuit, the explosive Centre said:
“The invite to division one and if it were not for the few mistakes and in our quarterfinals against Mwamba who knows, Maybe we could be in the finals,” Mbeche told Scrummage.
The side failed to replicate a similar run at Kabeberi 7s and Mbeche says it was his worst outing as they facde several challenges on during their trip to Machakos.
” Our vehicle had a breakdown we arrived in Machakos at 4 am, a town we had less knowledge about, we woke up to matches that our bodies couldn’t deliver their best” he added.
MMUST collected 18 in the entire circuit. They will are set to kick off full house training ahead of the Championship season where they are in the Western Conference alongside neighbours Kitale, Western Bulls, Kisumu, UoE Trojans and Kisii
