Meru RFC outwits Chuka in a friendly

Meru RFC produced a remarkable comeback to edge arch neighbors Chuka Vikings in a tough friendly clash played on Saturday in Meru.
The first half saw Meru trail 17-0 to Chuka RFC. Chuka took the lead courtesy of two converted tries and a penalty.
Second half
On return from the break converted, the hosts scored three converted tries to set 21 unanswered points in the second half. Dennis Mokaya scored the opening try before Samuel Chweya added the extras.
Mark Kuhura went over for the second try and Chweya got his conversion right.  Chweya’s third also converted Fredrick Kamwara for the third try. They would hold on for a 21-17  at fulltime.

The arch rivals in Central Region Nationwide tier are set to meet again in round five on 15th December 2018 where Chuka RFC welcomes  Meru RFC.
