KRU Championship side mourning chairman's demise

KRU Championship side South Coast Pirates is mourning their Chairman and founder George Barbour  who passed on in Ukunda.
According to the club,Barbour died after a struggle with illness.
“South Coast Pirates are grieving the loss of our founder and chairman George Barbour who passed away in Ukunda after battling illness. May George’s soul rest in perfect peace. Lala salama Chairman,” Pirates tweeted.
Apart from forming the Ukunda-based club,Barbour was also the brainchild of the famous  Diani 5-aside touch rugby tournament.

Barbour founded South Coast Pirates in April 2013 together with Coach David Nolan and Base Titanium’s Paul Thompson.
