Springboks hand Australia fourth Championship loss

Australia suffered the fourth loss of the Rugby Championship after a 23-12 defeat to South Africa in a match played on  Saturday at Nelson Mandela Bay stadium.
At half-time at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, the Wallabies were trailing 20-12. The Australians started the match in a worse fashion as Kurtley Beale cutout was intercepted by Aphiwe Dyantyi in the opening minute and he dotted the opener.


Will Genia Crossed over for one try before he set up another Reece Hodge for another try. Matt Toomua converted one for Australia’s 12 points.
Handre Pollard scored a try, two conversions and two penalties to seal South Africa’s lead at halftime.
The Springboks kept the Wallabies scoreless in the second half to record a memorable win in front of a 40 000 plus crowd at Nelson Mandela Bay with Pollard scoring a penalty for the only points of the Second half to make it 23-12.
 


Australia now sits bottom on the four-team table with five points.
