Homeboyz planning swoop for Nakuru ace

Enterprise Cup holders Homeboyz RFC are planning to resign Henry Ayah from rivals Nakuru RFC.
Homeboyz head coach Paul Murunga has revealed that the former halfback is likely to complete his move back to the next week and might be in action as they take part in the Impala Floodlit tournament to kick off on Saturday 13  October 2018.
“The fans could see a return of Henry Ayah from Nakuru RFC. Ayah played in our under 19 team before going to Nakuru. If the pen is put on paper next week, you could also see a return of one of our renown wingers.” he told Impala media.
Confirmed participation
The Deejays have confirmed their participation in the upcoming Floodies but might be without 15 key players who have been drafted in the Kenya 7s and 15S squad.
“8 Homeboyz Rugby players are engaged with the Kenya Simbas for Repechage 2018 preparations. 7 more are engaged with the Kenya 7s, but this opens up the opportunity for more of our young players to claim spots within the Kenya Cup squad,” he added.
Win Floodies
Their  Team Manager Simon Odongo says the players’ mood in the camp is great and they will be aiming at winning the Floodies main cup trophy. He hopes to launch their campaign with a date against either Homeboyz or KCB.
“In 2016, we took home the Plate, in 2017, we emerged 3rd. For us, it is about performing better than the previous year. We are now in our 3rd month of pre-season training and going by the mood in training, the boys look very eager to claim the Floodies 2018 trophy. Our stellar performance in the 7s circuit is because we embraced the challenge of big teams at the pool stage. To be the best, you always have to spar with the best and that is why I would fancy meeting the two Floodies 2017 finalists in our first match,” he said,
Homeboyz joins KCB, Strathmore, Kenya Harlequin, Nakuru and hosts Impala who have confirmed their participation.
