KRU Championship side Western Bulls is set to lose Utility back Duncan Abuyeka who is closing in on a move to Kenya Cup side Nakuru FC.
Scrummage understands that the former St Peters Mumias and Kakamega Rugby club star is in Nakuru town awaiting to complete his move to the former Kenya Cup champions.
“There is a likelihood that Abuyeka will complete a move to Nakuru. He has been a top performer at Western Bulls and Nakuru feel he can be a good addition to their squad ahead of the New season,” a source revealed to Scrummage.
The completion of the deal will see Abuyeka reunite with Nakuru RFC boss Mitch Ocholla. Abuyeka can feature as a fly-half and at fullback played under Mitch Ocholla in 2015 as the tactician led the Kenya A in the Elgon Cup. He started at Fullback as Kenya beat the Uganda 20-17 and maintained his spot as they lost 30-25 in Uganda.
Abuyeka has been with the Kakamega Based for the last five years. He quit Kakamega rugby club after two months and crossed over to Bulls in January 2013.
If he completes the move he will Chrispin Shitundo who also quit Bulls and joined Kenya Cup newbies Menengai Oilers.
