Kabras picks ex-Kakamega high star for praises

Kabras RFC picked a youthful squad for Christie 7s, and their 7s coach Edwin Achayo was impressed with how the youngsters played, with Edwin Sifuna and Barry Robinson making it to his praise list.
The squad had only four senior players and went on to pick five points from the leg which was the final leg of the National 7s Circuit. Achayo says the purpose of picking the youngster was to prepare them for future assignments.
He says Sifuna who joined the side  from Kakamega High School was brilliant in the tournament as well as Robinson who also stepped his game.
“Am proud of the whole lot. The 18-20-year-olds that we came with for Christie. They had a chance to experience the competition in preparation for the future, especially in the 7s program,” Achayo told Scrummage.
“I am particularly impressed by Edwin Sifuna a young lad, 18 years from Kakamega High and he is playing brilliantly. Barry Robinson who has also stepped. It good that they had experience in the 7s circuit,” he added.
Kabras finished fifth on 7s standings after collecting 62 points in the last six legs.
