Kayange praises Taabu and other youngsters

Daniel Taabu of Mwamba RFC has had an impressive season in the recently concluded 7s Circuit, and his ability to learn and willingness to be coached has not gone unnoticed.
Former Kenya 7s star and most recently presidential appointee Humphrey Kayange took notice of the exploits of the youngster who also got called up to the national team.
Others on Kayange’s Radar include former Masaku RFC flyer, Ronnie Omondi and Homeboyz Speedster Mark Wandeto both of whom have also received call-ups to the national team.
“At Mwamba I think Daniel Taabu has been outstanding and he looks like he is ready to be coached and be a better player. Our scrum half Ronnie looks good too. I also saw Mark Wandeto playing really well for the future of 7s games,” Kayange told Scrummage.
Senior players
Senior players who were outstanding according to him include his younger brother Collins Injera and talisman Andrew Noel Amonde among other Kenya 7s players.
“The usual suspects (Collins and Andrew) have been impressive and you want senior players to play well so that the youngster can follow suit. But looking at it I believe can get up to seven players that can be trained and play well in the 7s series,” he added.
