Touch Rugby Central League second round set for Railways Club

The Touch rugby Central League will enter the second round on Saturday 22 September at the Railways Club in Nairobi and 16 teams are set to take part.
The first round was played on  September 8 with 16 teams competing. RPF won the main cup against MOG Pirates in a sudden death drop off. The Plate was won by MIRO while Les Gaulios walked away with the ball. Shield went to Safaricom 1 (a ladies team).

The third round will be held on Mashujaa day, before two more rounds are played in November. The League is set to conclude in March 2019.
Each round is played in a tournament style, with group stages followed by knock-out cup, plate, bowl and shield. Competing teams are awarded points depending on their finishing position in each round which will determine their overall league ranking.

The number of core teams participating in the league is expected to be between 12 to 14 core teams with every round being open to non-league invitational teams to enter.
