Ugandan star quits Kabras

Ugandan halfback Ivan Kirabo has ditched Kenya Cup side Kabras RFC and has made a return to his country to join Warriors RFC.
The halfback joined Kabras in 2014 and went on to have two different stints with Kakamega based side. He leaves after helping the side finish second in the 2017/18 season.
Kabras 7s Coach Edwin Achayo confirmed that the player had an agreement with the teams top management and was released.
“Ivan is no longer with us but I cannot comment more about that since its a decision by him and top management. All I know is he will not be with Kabras next season, ” Achayo told Scrummage.

The side also unveiled former Uganda Cranes star Ivan Kevin Makmot as their head coach.
The side has signed a sponsorship deal worth 180 Million UGX with Dusu which will cater for their expenses and kits. Velocity has also given the side a 10 Million sponsorship.
Kirabo started playing rugby at the age of 12, he has played for Bootkamp, Summerkamp (Warriors), Boks, Kobs and Rhinos. His National team debut was against Kenya Simbas and they lost 23-18.
