Mugaisi hands NSC Champs Homeboyz Christie 7s win

A sudden death try by Leonard Mugaisi handed National 7s Champions Homeboyz the Christie 7s main cup win which marks their fourth main cup this season.
Paul Murunga coached side won against hosts Quins 24-19. The match started with Homeboyz skipper Leornard Mugaisi being sinbinned and the side 2018 Champions found themselves trailing after quick tries by Quins. Former Homeboyz winger Cyprian Kuto returned to haunt them with an opening try. The side went 14-0 up after Kuto went over for a converted try minutes later. Heading to the break, Kenya 7s star Jeff Olouch went over after outpacing Kuto to cut the gap the to 7 points
Second half
The Deejays returned from the break determined and leveled the scores. Olouch crossed over to cut the gap to two points and Olindi’s conversion saw them tie the scores. Ugandan star Aaron Ofoyrwoth kick and chase handed the hosts a five-point lead.  Quins were, however, reduced to six to men and Homeboyz took advantage of the numbers and level the score with a try from Johnstone Olindi. A missed conversion send the game to the extra time.
Homeboyz would win in thanks to a try fro skipper Mugaisi. They end the season on a high after wins at Prinsloo 7s, Sepetuka, Kabeberi and now Christie 7s.

MMUST are the Division two champions after 29-12 win over Egerton. MMUST skipper Samuel Mbeche’s powerful run saw him go over for a converted try. Collins Onyango replied with unconverted try but Mbeche returned to the scoresheet for a 14-5.
The final half Kevin Abuga, Claus Shirievo scored each for MMUST to win the Division two. South African side Blue Bulls $ TUK bagged the third place after  33-7 win over Strathmore Leos.

In the fifth-place finals, KCB beat Uganda Emerging 7s 29-5. The Bankers led through Davis Chenge and Jeff Okwach scored to give the side 10- scoreline. The Ugandans bagged one unconverted try before Ahmed Shaban scored the Dennis Mwanja charges.
In the final half, Okwach crossed over before they added the second try to walk away with fifth place trophy.
