Mwamba,Homeboyz in winning starts at Christie 7s

Mwamba started their Christie 7s campaign with a 38-12 win over Russian side Narvskaya  Zastava this Saturday 15 September at the RFUEA Ground.
Kulabu,second on the series standings with 92 points took a commanding 19-0 lead to halftime courtesy of a brace of converted tries by Daniel Taabu and an unconverted touch down from Brian Kivasia.
Skipper Eliakim Kichoi compounded to the Russian’s woes by adding Mwamba’s fifth try before Narvskaya scored twice in succession to take the scores to 26-12 in favour of the black shirts.
Brian Kivasia would then announce himself in the fixture by striking two tries to seal the win for his side. Kabras also won their opener 12-10.
Homeboyz 
Series leaders Homeboyz also started their campaign on a high, beating invited side Blue Bulls &  Tuks 26-7 in a pool B match. Charles Omondi, Alvin Otieno, Michael Wanjala scored a try each while Johnstone Olindi who drilled over two conversions as well with Juma adding one in the match. Hosts Kenya Harlequins condemned KRU Nationwide participants Northern Suburbs to a 48-0 loss.
Impala Saracen skipper Sam Motari scored a lone try as they went on to draw with Uganda Emerging Sevens 5-5. Pool D saw Nondies take a lead after a 36-5 win over Kisii while KCB came from behind to beat Strathmore 17-14.
