South African,Ugandan sides to grace Christie 7s

Emerging Uganda 7s,University of Pretoria and Blue Bulls are expected to grace the final leg of the National 7s series,Christie 7s slated for the wekend of 15-16 September in Nairobi.
According to an announcement made by Christie 7s hosts Kenya Harlequins on Monday, the University of Pretoria will amalgamate with Blue Bulls to form one side that will compete during the two-day event at the RFUEA Ground off Ngong Road while Emerging Uganda 7s, a select side from Uganda will also participate.
“This year, we’ll have a combined side from University of Pretoria and Blue Bulls from South Africa and the emergingUganda 7s,” part of the statement by the Kenya Cup side reads.
Meanwhile, Strathmore Leos have made a return to the Christie 7s Division one following their cup triumph at Division two at the penultimate leg of the series,Dala 7s that concluded in Kisumu last weekend.
The university side who had had been relegated after a dismal outing at the Driftwood 7s tournament three weeks ago edged Mbale RFC 29-5 in the final courtesy of tries by John Oduk,Alex Maina and Philemon Olang who bagged three.
