NATIONAL SEVENS CIRCUIT

Ex-Impala chair talks up Dala 7s perfomance

Ex-Impala Saracens chair Oduor Gangla says that the side showed a lot of commitment and exertion during the penultimate round of the National Sevens Series,Dala 7s held in Kisumu last weekend.
The Ngong Road side edged out KCB 12-7 to bag bronze having lost to Homeboyz in the semi finals and Gangla believes that with a little polishing, the side will be a force to reckon with at the season ending leg,Christie 7s slated for this weekend in Nairobi.
“Certainly this was a great improvement from Impala. We saw a lot of commitment and exertion. Impala already know how to create chances, but the closing is the biggest issue,” Gangla is quoted by Impala’s portal.
“Homeboyz were better at closing the only 3 chances they got and in the end found themselves in the final. If Impala manage to polish their closing this week in training, Christie 7s should be exciting to watch,” Gangla said.
“Impala performed well this weekend save for the semis loss to Homeboyz. Impala created very many scoring opportunities but failed to book the finals ticket. I hope the players will continue exerting themselves into the next leg.”
The side currently occupies sixth position on the standings having amassed 54 points.
