Kabras, Nakuru join Dala 7s quarters

Kenya Harlequins, KCB and Homeboyz maintained a 100% win record while Nakuru, Impala, Kabras were the latest side to book a slot in the quarters.
Quins managed a 27-0 win over MMUST. Cyprian Kuto bagged a brace while Alex Olaba, Edwin Shitanda and Joseph Aredo scored a try each in the win.  Driftwood 7s winners Nakuru have also made it the last eight after a 27-0 win Kisii. MMUST and Kisii have been relegated to the challenge trophy.
Impala RFC came from behind to beat Blak Blad 17-7. Blad led 7-0 at the break, Impala came back stronger in the final half scoring through Anthony Odhiambo, Patrick Mutuku and Paul Mutsami. They join Mwamba RFC in the quarters. Mwamba were denied 100% record after playing to a 17-17 draw.
Mwamba who were trailing 12-5 fought back with tries by Gregory Odhiambo to cut the gap to two points. Oilers went 17-10 up but Daniel Taabu’s late try denied Oilers a chance in the quarters.
Mean Machine drops to the challenge quarters after losing all their pool C matches. KCB downed Kabras RFC  22-10 to keep the fine run in Dala. Dennis Mwanja’s side ran four tries against Kabras RFC two. Kabras, however,  have proceeded to last eight due to a superior point difference.
Hosts Kisumu have lost all their matches in Pool D. The side lost their final match against MKU Thika 12-10.  Homeboyz topped Pool D after winning their third match following a 22-7 win over Nondies.
