NATIONAL SEVENS CIRCUIT

MKU Thika skipper positive ahead Dala 7s

MKU Thika captain Bob Muhati believes that the side can get meaningful results from Dala 7s as they play in the top tier for the first time this season.
The side earned promotion to the top tier following a 27-0 win over Daystar Falcons in Division II two finals. In Dala 7s they are in a tricky pool that consists of defending champions Homeboyz, Nondies and hosts Kisumu RFC.
Favorable
Muhati has termed the pool as a favorable one and feels that his side can pick ‘something good’ from the group.
“After the win at Driftwoods, we have our eyes set on the big prize. The pool is favorable and for sure something good will come out of it,” Muhati told Scrummage.
The captain revealed that the side has had to rebuild following the exit of several key names. He says in the rebuilding process they have taken time to bond with the journey being derailed by injuries. He, however, believes that the side now good to go.
“It has taken time to rebuild the team as most of our players joined other clubs after the last 7s season. We had many new faces and a number of injuries when we began the circuit that is why it took us some more time to incorporate everyone in the play,” he added.
MKU will open their top-tier campaign with a clash against Homeboyz, their second clash will be against Nondies while the last clash will be against Kisumu.
