Kenya Simbas squad named; Mombasa ace among new faces

Kenya Simbas head coach Ian Snook has handed Mombasa RFC Fly Half Elvis Namusasi a chance in the 33 man squad that will start preparations for the Repechage tournament.
Other news faces include Homeboyz’ Thomas Okidia and Kabras forward Ephraim Oduor. Wilson Kopondo has been named in the squad after missing the Africa Gold.
Curtis Lilako, Oscar Simiyu, Isaac Adimo, Edmund Anya and Erick Kerre have not made the cut.
The side kicks off the session on Monday 3 September ahead of the Repechage that will kick off in November. Kenya will face Canada in the opener before taking on Hong Kong and Germany.
A win in the tournament will sent them to the 2019 Woŕld Cup in Japan. Kenya missed out on a direct ticket after a 53-28 loss to Namibia.
