Kenya Simbas skipper Davis Chenge believes working on their mistakes and studying their opponents will help them compete effectively in the Repechage tournament.
The side is set to take part in the Repechage tournament in France in November where they will be facing Canada, Hong Kong and Germany.
The three week tournament will determine who will fill the last slot in the in the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Chenge says the side was keen to book a direct ticket to the World Cup but they missed out following a 53-28 loss to Namibia.
The Back row believes the side has a chance to mend for the mistakes that they made in the Africa Gold Cup.
“Going to repechage we have time to work on our mistakes. The boys are psyched up ahead of the tournament. They really wanted a direct qualification but now that we have another chance they are keen to work on the mistake and we are confident that we will be ready ahead of the competition and we hope to qualify,” he said in interview after Namibia loss.
Strength and weakness
The KCB man feels that they should review their opponents to know their strength and weakness before November.
“We will also analyze our opponents to know how we can punish them and their strength to know we can handle them” he added.
The side is set to resume its sessions on Monday 3 September.
