Osir reveals Impala Saracens' target at Dala 7s

Impala Saracens 7s coach Oscar Osir says they will be seeking to improve their performance as they take part in the fifth leg of the National 7s Series, Dala 7s, set for Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 September in  Kisumu County.
The side has struggled in the last two legs missing out on the main cup during Kabeberi 7s and Driftwood 7s. At Kabeberi 7s the side was relegated only to make a return to the top tier after being invited by Driftwood 7s hosts Mombasa RFC.

As they head to Dala, the Gazelles have been pooled alongside Driftwood 7s runners-up Mwamba RFC, Blak Blad, and Menengai Oilers.  Osir has termed the pool as an interesting one and the former Kenya 7s International is keen to fix the side’s mistakes before the Kisumu trip.
“It is an interesting pool owing to the head to head history we have against these teams. Our concern right now is to improve as a team. When we play as a unit, we come out of a leg with impressive results. I understand very well that Mwamba have been in 3 finals save for 1.We have not beaten Blad this season and Oilers are uniquely formless in execution, ”  Osir told the Club’s official portal.

“For now, my interest as a coach is to fix the internal combustion chamber and prepare it to work well for the remaining 2 legs. Desirable results will appear only with a functional unit.” he added.
Impala are placed eighth on the 7s standing after 37 points from the last four legs.
