Full statement
Unfortunately, Mean Machine has regretfully withdrawn from the #Driftwood7s due to road accident the team had this early morning at Mtitu Andei.
We have a few casualties that have been rushed to the nearby hospital, we know and pray that all will be well. We request for your prayers as the #Eschuma Family. We wish them all a speedy recovery either physically or emotionally.
We are sorry for the inconveniences, for we will not be able to participate in #Driftwood7s , but we still have one of the strongest team ever assembled for the #Dala7s and #Christies7s event.

Kenya Rugby Union has promoted MMUST and Nothern Suburbs to replace them. Machine were in Pool A alongside Homeboyz, Mombasa and Oilers while Blad were in Pool B together with Nakuru, Kisii and Kisumu.
“Mean Machine and Blak Blad will NOT participate at the Driftwood Sevens div 1 as they were involved in a minor, non-fatal traffic accident after Mtito a Ndei and have withdrawn from the tournament. We have resultantly promoted Masinde Muliro to POOL B & Northern Suburbs to POOL A KRU tweeted.
