NATIONAL SEVENS CIRCUIT

Kabras coach heaps praise on Tanga

Kabras 7s coach Edwin Achayo has heaped praise on Kenya 7s halfback Brian Tanga for his contribution at Kabeberi 7s.
The Kenyan International missed the opening legs of the National 7s circuit due to the National team commitments and made his first appearance in Machakos during Kabeberi 7s on Saturday and Sunday.
Though the side failed to go past the main Cup quarters for the third time in a row Achayo believes that Tanga was a good addition and was superb in attack. He has also described halfback as a great leader.
“Its be positive (Tanga’s return)and a huge plus for us. He gives us a go forward ball experience that he has learned by playing the big boys in the World Rugby series. The leadership he brings in the team is amazing. Together with (Nick)Baraza, they give the side more belief, he told Scrummage in Machakos.

Tanga was among the few names that picked injuries in Machakos and Achayo hopes that they will be fit on this Thursday ahead of Mombasa trip.
“We will evaluate everything. We picked injuries so I will talk to the physio to know who will be available for the team. The whole idea is to be competitive and we are always aiming for the main cup which is the main prize.” he added.
Kabras will face off with KCB, Strathmore and Impala at Driftwood 7s.
