KCB, Mwamba unbeaten as Blad, Machine sneak to Kabeberi quarters

KCB, Homeboyz, Mwamba, and Kabras avoided defeats on day one of the Kabeberi 7s tournament played at Machakos Stadium on Saturday.
They were joined in the last eight Nakuru, Kenya Harlequins, Mean Machine and Blak Blad.
Homeboyz RFC fine run  in Machakos saw them beat Nakuru RFC 26-19 in the final group A match. The win saw the Series leaders top Pool A. Menengai Oilers, on the other hand, beat Strathmore Leos 31-12 in the final Pool A match.
Mwamba also managed three wins on day one after a 19-5 victory over Kabeberi defending Champions Impala Saracens while Blak Blad pummeled Kisumu 36-0 and booked a place in the quarters.
Kenya Harlequin reached the last eight thanks to a 17-12 win over Kisii. They join KCB who topped the pool following a 19-5 win over MMUST.
Kabras whipped Nondies 26-7 to top Pool D. Mean Machine were shocked by Northen Suburbs who scored a solitary try and won the final clash. Despite the loss Mean Machine will play in the quarters,
