Homeboyz set sights on Kabeberi 7s title

Homeboyz head coach Paul Murunga says that they will be eyeing a third successive cup title when they head to Machakos this weekend for the third round of the National 7s circuit,Kabeberi at the Kenyatta Stadium.
The Deejays, cup winners at the Prinsloo and Sepetuka tournaments currently sit atop the standings on 44 points and are among the favourites to clinch this year’s overall title.
Murunga further admitted that the two-week break was important for his side adding that he would not make a lot of changes to the team that was triumphant in Eldoret and Nakuru.
“We are hoping to go to Kabeberi not just to participate but win the tournament. If they are winning 25-0 in a cup final then we don’t need to change much unless injuries force us to do so or we are just making rotation since we still have four more legs to go.” he said.
In Machakos,Murunga’s side is seeded top and will face Nakuru RFC,Menengai Oilers as well as university side Strathmore Leos in the preliminaries.
