Mwamba aim at Kabeberi 7s final

Mwamba Rugby Club coach Kevin Wambua said that the side will be out to reach the cup final when they host the third leg of the National 7s Circuit,Kabeberi on the weekend of 18-19 August 2018 at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
Kulabu have thus far reached the cup finals at the Prinsloo and Sepetuka tournaments, losing out to Homeboyz 19-12 and 25-0 respectively and Wambua expressed satisfaction with their showing.
“We have reached two finals out of two with the average age of our playing unit at 22 years. We can only get better. We are going to bring in one or two more players and go back to the drawing board¬† to see which areas didn’t work for us with an intention of coming back a stronger side at Kabeberi,” Wambua said.
Following back to back cup final losses, the Black shirts currently occupy second position on the National 7s Circuit standings on 38 points, six adrift leaders Homeboyz.
“We are looking to do much better than in Nakuru and Eldoret. We want to first of all get to the final at Kabeberi which is our home tournament.Hopefully by then we shall have done our home work on the opponents we shall face.We know our fans will be behind us and we shall work to be technically better.”
In Machakos,Wambua’s side is banded alongside Kenya Cup sides Impala Saracens and Blak Blad as well as KRU Championship outfit Kisumu RFC.
