Man of the match Owilah talks up win over Tunisia

After putting up a man of the match perfomance in Kenya Simbas’ 67-o annihilation of Tunisia on Saturday,Martin Owilah expressed his satisfaction with the result.
In what was his first start in the 2018 Africa Gold Cup, the KCB backrower capped off a fantastic afternoon by inking his name on the scoresheet in the duel staged at Nairobi’s RFUEA grounds.
Speaking after Saturday’s match,Owilah ackowledged that the side had a good game despite failing to match last year’s 100-10 win over the Tunisians.
“The coach gave me an opportunity to start because i have been playing off the bench in most of the matches this season. It’s a good game for the boys even though we didn’t manage to score highly like we did last season,” he said.
“Tunisia were well prepared since they were wounded having lost to Uganda in their previous match;ofcourse they were going to give a good show.”
“For us it was a good game especially in the first half.It was just about having our setpieces right. The coach had already spoken to me about the repositioning and on the kick offs so i had to exploit on that.”
Simbas head to Windhoek,Namibia on 18 August for a date with the Welwitschias in a match whose winner will book automatic qualification to the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
