Uganda Cranes captain Asuman Mugerwa says cooling down pressure was the secret behind their emphatic win over Tunisia on Saturday.
The two sides battled in Kampala in the third match of the Africa Gold Cup and Uganda ended their winless run in the 2018 campaign with 67-12 victory.
Mugerwa admits that they headed to the tie with too much pressure after having suffered losses to Namibia and Kenya in the opening matches.
The side conceded first and Mugerwa states that the pressure of being bottom on Africa Gold Cup affected their start and they had to cool down to comeback in the game.
“We were under a lot of pressure in the first minutes but we calmed down and it worked. The pressure was too much because we were the last on the table,” said Mugerwa.
The win sends Uganda third on the log with five points.
