Sepetuka 7s: What went wrong for Quins?

A 13th place finish is not the kind of result that Kenya Harlequins would have expected heading to last weekend’s Sepetuka 7s.
The club’s sevens coach Victor Sudi attributed their poor showing in Eldoret to their slow start as well as making too many errors.
“We made too many errors as a team. A lot of sides have improved so much.It is not the same way it used to be a few years ago,” the ex-Kenya International remarked.
“There is significant improvement and it means we have to take on every team seriously. The boys had a poor start and it costed us the main cup.”
The paltry three points bagged in Eldoret mean that Sudi’s charges occupy ninth position on the standings having amassed 16 points.
