MMUST labelled a top team after Sepetuka exploits

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) rugby coach Dr. Ochieng’ Ahaya has labelled his youthful charges as a top team.
The Kakamega outfit surprisingly reached the Sepetuka 7s quarter finals last weekend but they would be dumped by losing finalists Mwamba.
“We are a top team.We are not relying on guess work.We know we play good rugby and with good rugby you can always go where you want,” Ahaya told Scrummage.
Fatigue
“This (Sepetuka 7s) is our fifth sevens tournament since June and it brings fatigue but we have plans to manage that and MMUST can only become better.”
Last weekend’s appearance at the Sepetuka Division one was the first time that the side was featuring in the top tier of the sevens circuit in nine years.
