Nondies proceed to Sepetuka semis as Mwamba denies MMUST

Following the completion of the Main Cup quarters, Sepetuka 7s hosts Homeboyz will tackle KCB in the first semi final.
Mwamba who toiled past MMUST will have a date with Jamhuri based side Nondies.
To reach the Semis Nondies beat Impala 15-14, Impala started off well with their opening try coming from Tim Makiya. Mark Kwemoi took the lead to 14-0 from the break Nondies scored two try and cut the deficit to two points.
Fidel Castro’s try send Nondies through as they took advantage of Impala’s less numbers.
Spirited MMUST denied entry
Greg Odhiambo’s late try ended MMUST semi final dream as it saw them bow out with 12-10 loss. Masinde Muliro suffered an early blow as dependable star Ian Mukanzi was stretched off after a colliding with Eliakim during kick off.
They however managed to take lead through Elphas Opete’s try. Daniel Taabu dotted at the other end and converted for a lead.
Brian Ligami popped to find skipper Samuel Mbeche and he dashed to restore MMUST lead. But Odhiambo dent their hopes.
Kabras out
Hosts Homeboyz beat Kakamega based side Kabras 29-0 in the first quarterfinal. Johnstone Olindi opened the scores with a try at the centre of the post after up and under kick and Michael Wanjala conversion send the deejays to a 7-0 lead.
Leonard Mugaisi once again beat Kabras defence with a similar kick and Wanjala’s conversion saw Homeboyz move to 14-0.
Kabras first attempt to go forward was thwarted with Paul Abuto’s knock. Homeboyz made good use the chance as Mugaisi went over for a 19-0.
Kabras barely went past the 10 metre line as Homeboyz continued to push them to the edge. Mark Wandeto took the game beyond reach for Kabras with a try in the last minute of the opening half.
Kabras came back stronger but the spirited fight bore no fruits. Wandeto scored for Homeboyz at the death for a 29-0 win.
Nakuru eliminated
Nakuru suffered a 22-7 loss to KCB in the second quarterfinal. Nakuru took lead courtesy of Gramwel Bunyasi’s try. Extras from Henry Ayah gave Wanyore a 7-0 advantage.KCB scored just  before the halftime whistle but a conversion miss meant that they would still trail by  two points.
From the break, KCB were awarded a penalty try after a neck tackle on Michael Wanjala who was in a scoring position Donald Olouch was sent off as KCB took a 12-7 lead.
KCB added the third try at the right corner and they were 17-7. Peter Parma made 22-7 for KCB.
