Sepetuka 7s: MMUST stuns Oilers as KCB, Homeboyz reach quarters

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST ) and Kisii RFC caused major upsets of day one at the ongoing Sepetuka 7s after claiming the scalps of Menengai Oilers and Kenya Harlequins respectively on Saturday 28 July in Eldoret. 
MMUST scored two unconverted tries to stun Kenya Cup newbies Oilers 10-7 as Kisii RFC unexpectedly ran over Quins with a 28-0 score.
Kisii scored through four tries and four conversions.
Meanwhile, KCB, Mwamba and Homeboyz joined Kabras, Impala and Nakuru RFC in the cup quarter finals after recording their second wins of the day.
Mwamba narrowly edged out Strathmore Leos 14-12 as Homeboyz,winners over MMUST in their opener thumped Mean Machine 27-5.
KCB’s three converted tries saw them beat Nondies 15-10.
