Blak Blad eyeing an improved showing at Sepetuka 7s

Blak Blad coach Michael “Tank” Otieno says they will be out to post an improved perfomance at this weekend’s Sepetuka 7s,having perfomed dismally in Nakuru.
“We need to work on our defence especially one on one tackles. We have a lot of work on the breakdown because that was the major undoing at Prinsloo. We also need to be in good mental shape and know that little mistakes will cost us,” Otieno told Scrummage.
On their peromance in Nakuru, the tactician remarked: “We perfomed below par because our target was to get to the main cup but we ended up contesting for 13th position.”
KUSA mentality
“I think the boys still have the mentality of KUSA games because we have been playing those games and it has been easy for us and i think we went to Prinsloo with that mentality.”
“We really made a lot of mistakes in the breakdown;the aggressiveness in the breakdown was lacking and we were forced to commit a lot of errors.”
At Sepetuka,Blak Blad tackles Prinsloo bronze medalists Impala Saracens,Nakuru RFC and KRU Championship outfit Catholic Monks in pool C.
