Homeboyz coach talks up Prinsloo 7s winning formula

Homeboyz Rugby coach Paul Murumga acknowledged that the blend of youth and experience in the playing unit played a role in their cup success at the first leg of the National 7s circuit, Prinsloo.
On their way to cup glory at the Nakuru Athletic Club, Murunga’s charges finished second in pool B after losing to Kenya Harlequins before eliminating Kabras and Impala enroute to a 19-12 win over Mwamba in the cup final.
“We are happy.Iam happy with the squad that came to this tournament.A few young players in the team blended well with the senior guys and they were able to play the entire tournament and win it,”Murunga told Scrummage.
With the Prinsloo 7s triumph, the Deejays lead the circuit standings on 22 points, three more than second placed Mwamba Rugby Club.
The second round of the circuit will be held at the Eldoret Spoets Club on 28th and 29th July 2018 with Homeboyz seeded top in pool A alongside MMUST, Mean Machine and Menengai Oilers.
