Prinsloo 7s: Mwamba eliminates KCB to book Homeboyz in the finals

Mwamba RFC will face off with Homeboyz in the Prinsloo 7s finals after beating defending Champions KCB 10-5 in the semis played at Nakuru Athletic Club.
Mwamba scored first and it was Ronnie Omondi’s try that gave Kulabu a 5-0 lead. The Banker levelled the scores at centre of the posts but Ahmed Shaban failed to add the extras.
Matt Wanjia’s beautiful run saw Kulabu go 10-5 up. KCB had their equalizing try ruled out due to a forward pass. Mwamba held on to reach the main cup final.
Homeboyz through
In the first Semi, Homeboyz started off strongly and scored converted try. Michael Wanjala, Johnstone Olindi and brace from Mark Wandeto gave the Deejays a 29-0 lead.
Tim Makiya pulled two tries back for a 29-12 loss.
Rai Derby
The first fifth place semi saw Nakuru RFC beat  26-21 Kabras in a Rai Derby . Donald Olouch crossed over, scored converted for a 7-0.  The side went on to push the scores further after landing two more tries for a 19-0 lead
Kabras fightback saw the side cut the  gap to five points but Olouch widen the gap with a converted try. Habil Malika converted try brought them close as one more connverted try would win them the game. Nick Baraza knock on in the final minute saw the Sugarmens journey come to an end.
Kenya Halequins saw off Oiler 10-5 to reach the fifth place finals.
