RWC7s: Scotland ends Kenya's World Cup dream

Kenya 7s were eliminated from the World Cup 7s main Cup following a 31-26 sudden death loss to Scotland in the round 16 clash played AT Park in San Francisco.
The Scotish side had several minutes of possession in Kenya’s 22 but former skipper Andrew Amonde thwarted their first attempt to take a lead.
After a close contest, Kenya’s breakthrough came two minutes to the break,  Sammy Oliech popped to find Nelson Oyoo who race before setting up supporting Eden Agero and the halfback played in Ambaka who scored. The try was converted for a 7-0 lead.
Kenya had a break in the closing minutes after Human Humwa opened the gap and Jeff Olouch went over while Agero’s conversion sent Kenya to a 14-0 lead.
Straight from the halftime break, Collins Injera had a beautiful run that resulted to Kenya’s third try. Oliech added the extras and Kenya 7s were 21-0 up. Olouch added his second for a 26-0.
Scotland fought back earned one try. A penalty try minutes later and a yellow card for Sammy Oliech saw the Scots move to 26-12.  The side’s fightback countinued as they Intercepted Humwa’s pass and scored the third try for a 26-19 score. Samuel Ngethe was yellow carded with seconds to play and the scots scored and converting from a tight angle to tie the scores forcing the game to extra time.
Kenya’s dream was crushed in the sudden death after Scotland touched down at the far left corner through Ferndale.
