Player watch: The pacey Nelson Oyoo

Pacey Nelson Oyoo is among the nine players who will be making their World Cup debut in San Francisco starting Friday 20 July with the Kenya 7s.
Oyoo an alumnus of Njoro boys started playing rugby at the Nakuru based high school after being influenced by his elder brother Cassius Omollo. He later joined his brother at Kenya Cup side Nakuru RFC.
At Nakuru RFC the winger impressed in the 2015 National 7s Circuit and prowess caught the eyes of the National team selectors despite the Driftwood 7s incident that saw him bite Kenya 7s superstar Collins Injera in their 29-0 loss to Mwamba in the finals.
Internationally, the 24-year-old has made 138 appearances for Kenya in the World 7s Series. In those matches, the man from Njoro has touched down 39 times which totals to 190 points.
The man from Njoro is much remembered for scoring the second last try as Kenya beat Fiji 30-7 for a historic main Cup win in Singapore. Courtesy of the try he won the DHL master class carry award.  He was not part of the Olympic but played in the commonwealth games in 2018.
Oyoo is one of the fastest players in the Kenya 7s squad and he is well known for his sure tackles.
