Kubu rejoins Kabras alongside bruvver

Fijian halfback Jone Kubu is back at Kenya Cup side Kabras RFC alongside his brother David.
Kubu’s brother made a non-competive debut on 7 July as Kabras took part in Citam 7s played in Kisumu. Kabras emerged winners after beating Kisii 24-7.
Kubu was the only Fijian expected to make a return at the Kakamega based following new policy adopted by their 2017/18 coach Charles Cardovillis. He, however, did not return to the side.
He is back after a year to join the Sugarmen who are under the tutelage of Anthony Ogot and former Kenyan halfback Edwin Achayo.
“Kubu is back at Kabras. He came with a fellow Fijian believed to be his brother. The brother played in Kisumu during the CITAM 7s. Its however unclear if the two will play in 7s Series that are about to kick off,” a source close to the club told Scrummage.
Kubu played a major role as Kabras won the first ever Kenya Cup title in 2016.
