Kakamega High half back dies

Kakamega High School has been thrown into a mourning state following the death of the school’s rugby halfback Douglas Owala. 
According to Kakamega High rugby coach Amos Wamanga,the player passed on on Friday 13 July at the Kakamega Provincial General Hospital where he had been recuperating following an operation done on him on Thursday after he sustained an injury during training.
“It was during training when an accident occured.He was landing and a team-mate who was running fell on him.Thereafter he complained of stomach ache and we took him to hospital where he was operated on,”Wamanga told Scrummage. 
Owala was part of the side that finished third at the 2018 Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association national games held in Embu County.
